What are you thinking currently about music and singing? Collect your thoughts and put them in here! So, I will start (anyone has to do it): Waiting since more then one month for a better soundcard And I have to make all the music...I dont want that someone else got the same idea and publish it before me...3, 4 or 5 songs are in my head and I cant express them somehow I changed the MS GS Wavetable Synth, but that program for the other soundbanks shoot down the WinExplorer.exe So I have to install some Linux, but I need the soundcard (I dont want to recompile the kernel)

Very interesting thread! As for me, well, I don't have the talent or software to make music. However, I'm quite overwhelmed with all the songs I have stored on my computer. The pictures I have stored on my computer seems to be an even bigger problem though. Though, I have to say, Pokemon has some good songs in Japanese. They are 10 times better than some of the short and stale themes, which we get over here. (Just throwing out this random thought out here. haha) I need to start working on my singing again. I haven't singed for quite a while, now. Strange, as how I'm quite tone-deaf, however, I get a lot of compliments on how talented I am at singing. Maybe I've just never noticed or something. And I have to make all the music...I dont want that someone else got the same idea and publish it before me...3, 4 or 5 songs are in my head and I cant express them somehow You can't seem to express them? Have you written at least half of what you got of the songs yet? I remember my music teacher said to me once that it's a very good idea to write a few notes down on a scrap piece of paper, even if you haven't finished the song, or even if it's just for fun, you'll eventually embed it into your brain, and figure out the rest of notes of the song in your head. I only did this sort of thing once, it helped a bit, but I got lazy after a few notes in. I get stumped when it comes to these sorts of things too. I play my keyboard every once in a while, so sometimes, I try to make up my own songs from my head. They aren't too good though, since I'm not very good with music. I also usually forget what notes I played since I'm too lazy to write them down.

So, soundcard is good, but it won't work correctly in SuSe. Only the left channel. The idea was brilliant, but... a -nix won't eat all your RAM and audacity wants only a minimum of 128 MB (in Win 1 GB or something), would be a huge performance-gain, but without sound... Additional WinXP (due security with diabled network). Creative messed up the drivers for their soundcards in Win7, there is no General Midi/What U hear anymore, its not hidden, it does not exist. But I found some soundfonts on the driver-cd. Ok, now I made two different versions of the main theme of Kyuuketsu Shimauma One version sound too flat, the other version has too much...volume/filling Have to make a new version One solution leads to new problems A good microphone (20 EU-Dollar, but from 20Hz to 20kHz), but I record all the aircooler-noises, up to -36dB Because the language of Kyuuketsu Shimauma -Anime will be german and the ばか ドイツ人 should not know that I put a lot of critism on them in the anime, I have to sing in Japanese. There was something with translation and it should fit... I had in music always the mark "C". I can write notes and perhaps the terrible key on every line, but if I line anything up and put it in one line, then it will make no sense
